Digital Services Act

Comprehensive compliance and transparency information under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA). Learn about our commitment to user safety, content moderation, and regulatory compliance.

About the Digital Services Act

The Digital Services Act (DSA) is a landmark European Union regulation that came into effect to create a safer, more transparent, and accountable digital environment. The DSA establishes comprehensive rules for online platforms and services operating within the EU, with the goal of protecting users' fundamental rights, ensuring platform accountability, and fostering innovation in the digital single market.

Game2Over is committed to full compliance with the DSA and all applicable EU regulations. As an online platform that provides digital services to users in the European Union, we recognize our responsibilities under the DSA and are dedicated to maintaining transparency, protecting user rights, and ensuring a safe gaming environment. This page provides detailed information about our DSA compliance measures, policies, and procedures.

1. Single Point of Contact

In accordance with Article 11 of the Digital Services Act (DSA), Game2Over has designated a single point of contact to facilitate direct communication with Member State authorities, the European Commission, the European Board for Digital Services, and recipients of our service. This ensures efficient and transparent communication regarding any matters related to our platform, content moderation, user safety, or regulatory compliance.

You may contact our designated DSA contact point electronically at: game2overofficial@gmail.com. This email address is monitored regularly, and we are committed to responding to all legitimate inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

For official communications with regulatory authorities, communications should be in English. However, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate communications in other EU languages when necessary. We maintain records of all communications with authorities as required by the DSA.

2. Reporting Illegal Content

If you encounter any content on Game2Over that you believe is illegal or violates our Terms of Use, please report it immediately to our designated contact point above.

Please include the following information in your report:

  • A precise explanation of why you believe the content is illegal.
  • A clear indication of the electronic location of the content (e.g., the URL).
  • Your name and email address (unless reporting an offense deemed to involve sexual abuse of children etc).
  • A statement confirming your good faith belief that the information and allegations are accurate.

3. Content Moderation

Game2Over hosts HTML5 games provided by third-party developers and distributors. We strive to ensure that all content is appropriate for our audience.

We employ a combination of manual review and reliance on our trusted partners to moderate content. If notified of illegal or inappropriate content, we aim to act expeditiously to remove or disable access to such content.

4. Protection of Minors

Game2Over is committed to providing a safe environment. We do not strictly verify the age of our users, but we aim to curate games that are suitable for a general audience. We encourage parents and guardians to monitor their children's online activity.

5. Advertising Transparency

We display advertisements to support our free services. These ads are primarily delivered by Google AdSense and other advertising networks.

For information on how ads are targeted and how to control your ad preferences, please refer to our Privacy Policy and the ad provider's transparency tools (e.g., Google's "Ad Choices").

6. Information on Average Monthly Active Recipients

Under Article 24 of the Digital Services Act, online platforms are required to publish transparent information regarding the average monthly active recipients of their service in the European Union. This transparency requirement helps regulators and users understand the scale and reach of online platforms operating in the EU.

As of the date of this publication, Game2Over falls below the threshold of 45 million monthly active recipients in the European Union required to be designated as a "Very Large Online Platform" (VLOP). While we are not currently classified as a VLOP, we voluntarily adhere to many best practices and transparency measures outlined in the DSA to ensure user safety and platform accountability.

We will continue to monitor our user numbers and engagement metrics in the EU on an ongoing basis. Should our platform reach the VLOP threshold in the future, we will immediately comply with all additional obligations required for Very Large Online Platforms, including enhanced risk assessments, independent audits, and more comprehensive transparency reporting. We are committed to maintaining accurate and up-to-date information about our platform's reach and impact.

7. User Rights and Redress Mechanisms

The DSA establishes important rights for users of online platforms. Game2Over is committed to respecting and facilitating these rights. Users have the right to receive clear information about why content was removed or restricted, the right to contest content moderation decisions through our internal complaint-handling system, and the right to seek out-of-court dispute settlement through certified dispute settlement bodies.

If you believe that content on Game2Over has been incorrectly removed or restricted, or if you have concerns about our content moderation decisions, you can contact us at game2overofficial@gmail.com. We will review your complaint and provide a reasoned response within a reasonable timeframe. We are committed to fair and transparent content moderation that respects users' rights while maintaining a safe platform environment.

8. Our Ongoing Compliance Commitment

Game2Over is committed to maintaining full compliance with the Digital Services Act and all applicable EU regulations. We regularly review and update our policies, procedures, and technical measures to ensure they align with evolving regulatory requirements and best practices. Our compliance efforts include ongoing staff training, regular policy reviews, and continuous improvement of our content moderation and user safety systems.

We understand that regulatory compliance is an ongoing process, not a one-time achievement. As the DSA continues to evolve and new guidance is issued, we will adapt our practices accordingly. We are committed to transparency about our compliance efforts and welcome feedback from users, regulators, and stakeholders about how we can better serve our community while maintaining full regulatory compliance.

This page will be updated regularly to reflect any changes in our compliance status, policies, or procedures. Users are encouraged to check this page periodically for the most current information about our DSA compliance.
